Do It Yourself 500 Mag. Emergency Survival Tool Kit

When I first laid eyes on Smith and Wesson’s 500 Magnum Survival Tool Kit I thought it was one of the coolest marketing ideas I’d ever seen. Yea, I know… Totally impractical, but who cares?! Don’t know about you but my life is built around having fun while I’m here, and my idea of fun was to build my own personalized version of this Emergency kit.
LOL, the Sig P226 version, for when you want to make the bear angry before he eats you! HAHA, good tip!
stick with the 500 if u come up to Alaska cause anything else is taking a huge chance
@ashley8072 Making custom kits and cases is a fun side hobby that goes well with guns and survival interests. Saw the video you posted and your kit turned out great; very creative.
I love this video! It was my inspiration to make my own also. Only thing I havent gotten in mine yet is a First aid kit and a compass.
But i’m sure I’ll figure it out soon. Awesome vid!
@TexDeuce The comp does very well with the recoil but the slap in the face from the muzzle blast always gets the shooter’s undivided attention.
These are difficult to shoot fast. I’ve seen a fast shooting friend use one on a bowling pin match just for a goof and it really slowed him down bad. He’s an NRA instructor who uses this same gun for his students to demonstrate the fact that with proper instruction even a beginner can shoot one of these their first day at the range.
Awesome kit man! I always loved the Smith and Wesson kit but didn’t care for the snub nose. 4 inches is perfect. How is the recoil with the compensator? Are follow up shots fast enough and practical?
@MakingMasterClass Have to remember to reverse the stand on that MGM target when using hot 500 Mag’s.
Excellent video man. That was great when the entire target fell over.
Nice kit man!
@sionaprhys Oh, I have one of those it’s just not fitted yet.
Great idea!
That’s neat! You should put together one of those spy kits like you see in the movies- the fitted briefcase with the pistols, knives and whatnot.
thats a neat tidea…i love the pelican cases…wow a 500 mag for deer hunting…i can one shot drop with a 357mag
Timothy Treadwell could have used you kit, lol
@Bladdy06 That’s a great idea… Love the Ruger Alaskan .44!
@jamaicanjjason Thank’s for being a regular viewer, appreciate that.
@OneMansSanctuary After reading that book about bear attack survivors who lost eyeballs and got their scalps ripped off I’ll probably never go anywhere where I would have to! Thank you.
@awomansworld123 Glad you saw this one. Thank you.
@72cmcinc
Yea, I’d be screwed because the gun lives in a safe and the case sits on a shelf in my basement!
Good looking kit. Hopefully you wont need it!
Cool video! Nice project. Thanks for sharing
Nice job on the kit. Hope you never have to use it!
Very nice kit and excellent video
@theKGB65 dirt shooting is cool
@theKGB65 you’re welcome. I’d like to make one of these for myself with a Ruger in .44 mag.
@Bladdy06 Alright, thank you.
