I’m heading from Cleveland Ohio to Toronto Canada this evening. I have my Garmin Nuvi 205 with me, and when I enter the destination and look at the map, it looks like it will correctly direct me to Toronto.

However, two things worry me a little bit; My mom’s boyfriend said that as soon as he crossed the border, his GPS (TomTom) stopped working. Also, when I look at the map, the US area shows sidestreets, water, parks, etc. But in the Canadian area, it looks like it only shows the highways and such.

Is there a map I need to download or will my GPS perform fine and get me to Toronto? Is there a helpline that I could call?
