Does anyone own the Garmin edge 205? ?

I just bought the garmin edge 205, and I’m trying to figure out how to use the GPS enabled altimeter, If anyone has any suggestions on how to use it, please help.

I don’t think the 205 has an altimeter. I know the 305 has one (they share the same manual, so the manual makes it seem it has one). My 205 is able to tell alt. only by maps that are loaded in off my computer. So if I map a course on “mapmyride.com” or similar, I can then export the map as a garmin file, and add it to the Garmin using their Training software. Then sync, etc. THEN the 205 will display altitude based off of the map data for that specific data point.
The 305 has the added internal Alt that compliments the map data.
